Building a World Where Every Voice Counts

You have a story to tell. And whether it's fiction or memoir, a full-scale book or a series of articles, you have to be the one to tell it.

Why? Because in the moment of quiet before you put pen to paper, you are the only one who knows the music. You have seen injustice, and you need to say what isn't being said. Or a novel is growing inside you, and you want to give its world life.

It isn't easy. You may have spent years struggling for permission to take up space. Or perhaps you just know the writing process works differently for you, but you don't know why.

Inside you is a yearning that tightens your chest and returns when you least expect it:

Let me tell this story. Let me fully exist.

You might not know how the intangible spark inside you will ever become hot ink. Writing it all out may seem impossible – let alone sculpting a story that anyone would want to read.

It seems that way. But I believe you can make your vision real.

Chris has been the needed spark that led to getting my 20-year-old story onto actual paper. As a result, my characters are beginning to develop personalities others can appreciate, and I am learning what works for me personally.
Chris thinks about the big picture, the details, marketability, and the intended audience. He knows how to unclog the creative pipes. He is a fountain of knowledge, thoroughness, and experience.

I work with writers all over the world. They are novelists, journalists, poets. They may be in the process of rediscovering their creative identities after taking time off to become parents. Or they may be working to take down half-trillion-dollar industries.

I have a special passion for helping my fellow neurodivergent writers, and many of my clients fit that description – although by no means all.

It's a joy to see these writers doing what they have known for so long they needed to do.

Before I became a coach, I was a Certified Ghostwriter (a master's-level credential). That's where I learned to help writers convert that oh-so-slippery inspiration into marketable literary properties.

But even before that, I had years of experience as a freelancer and fiction writer, including a prestigious mentorship through AWP. My paid projects included blog posts, a superhero comic, and over 120 short stories for advanced English language learners – including one about a kid who finds an octopus at the beach and smuggles it home in a pickle jar.

I still spend every morning on my own writing projects. But after a year as a working book ghostwriter, I discovered how much I love empowering other writers to create their best work.

At that point, there wasn't any stopping me. I developed a number of services designed for writers with widely varying creative methods:

  • My Signature Book Coaching Package provides concrete guidance for each step in the writing process as I help you follow your own creative intelligence;

  • Writer Coaching Lite is a scaled-down, largely email-based service for writers who need less project management;

  • Manuscript Reviews offer my industry-informed analysis and recommendations to help your book reach the people it needs to reach;

  • The Breakthrough Writers Workshop is a 5-week group coaching program designed to help writers overcome their personal challenges in four distinct phases of the writing process (and it's so well-loved that the writers have requested a Level 2!);

  • The new Neurodivergent Brain Trust is a carefully curated group of writers who will meet twice a month for charitable critique;

  • Neurodivergent Writers Check-Ins are FREE, 45-minute Zoom calls for encouragement and accountability.

In addition, I continue to offer editorial services.

And as a member of the dis/ability community, I am committed to accommodating the needs of any and all writers, particularly those who need various forms of assistance to make communication effective.

It's time you made your dreams a reality.

Not sure yet? Set up a free meeting to find out if you're a good fit. If I can't help, I probably know someone who can.

I'm excited to hear about your writing!
